Senator Mike Fasano is Recipient of Three Prestigious Awards

State Senator Mike Fasano has recently received three prestigious awards from a variety of local, regional and statewide organizations.  The Florida Chapter of the American Public Works Association, the Area Agency on Aging and the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office have all recently honored Senator Fasano for his legislative accomplishments.

“His steadfast advocacy of transportation and his courage in the face of significant pressure to short change our state infrastructure, make him an ideal recipient for this award,” stated President-Elect Chris Evers of the Florida Chapter of the American Public Works Association (APWA).  “Senator Fasano is a strong supporter of APWA and deserves our recognition and thanks.”

Senator Fasano received the “Inaugural Legislator of the Year Award on April 5th at the APWA’s annual meeting in Tampa.

“Thank you for your dedication to providing law enforcement with the tools we need to fight crime in our community,” stated Pasco County Sheriff Chris Nocco when he presented Senator Fasano with the “Sheriff’s Special Service Award.”

The award was presented at the Pasco County Sheriff First Quarter 2012 New Members' Swearing In Ceremony on April 11th  in Shady Hills.

On March 23 in St. Petersburg Senator Fasano was presented with the “Lifetime Legislative Achievement Award” from Executive Director Sally Gronda of the Area Agency on Aging of Pasco-Pinellas.  The Agency provides services to seniors and caregivers and has done so for nearly 40 years.

“I am humbled by the trust these diverse organizations have shown in me,” Senator Fasano states. “Each provides an important service to our community. I am blessed to have been able to help advance their respective causes in an effort to make our local community and Florida as a whole a better place to live.”
