77-Year-Old Accused of Molesting Child
Deputies say Richard Dyke took a 4-year-old girl to an outdoor laundry room to get her alone.
A 77-year-old New Port Richey man was accused recently of molesting a child.
A 4-year-old girl told a Pasco County Sheriff’s deputy recently that during frequent visits to Richard Dyke’s residence, Dyke would take her to an outdoor laundry room.
Once alone, Dyke would rub the girl’s sex organ and ask if it felt good, according to an arrest report. When she asked him to stop, he would tell her to keep the encounter “their secret."
Also, the man exposed his sex organ to the girl and enticed her to hold and touch it, the girl told deputies.
When questioned by a detective, Dyke admitted to “allowing” the girl to hold and touch his sex organ, but he said the girl initiated it. He said he should have prevented the behavior but allowed it to continue. He also said he massaged her sex organ because he thought she would like it.
Dyke, of 5192 Rubber Tree Circle, New Port Richey, was arrested Wednesday. He was booked into the Land O’ Lakes jail on a charge of lewd and lascivious molestation but released the same day on $150,000 bond.

77 Years old and just gets caught ? He suddenly didn't become a pedophile at 77. There are others over decades, they better investigate.

Oh, there were others, but most people told, either did not want to believe it or didn't want to get involved, or would call you a liar. very sad situation for the person it happened to.

He was released on bond. Something is wrong here.
Too bad they don't permit casturation as legal punishment. In prison, the inmates have their own code & he might just get it cut off, or be repetedly raped with broom handles with extream prejudice & no mercy. Prison inmates have intense problems with child molestors.

The article stated that this had happened several times. Where was this child's parents? Seems someone else would have known what was going on. Article leaves out pertinent information.

The sheriff's office didn't give out that information, and it generally doesn't give out more detailed info on sex crimes on juveniles.

People, as such, should not be out on bail! I believe all Pedophile's should be dropped in the middle of the Desert to fend for themselves! Our Country is much too leniant with the Law's and must change. These babies have rights and we need to set the rules. Where do we begin?

This is the problem. Judges refusing tough sentences being imposed. I think if you are a pedophile, a rapist or a murderer that is it for you. You are done, history. You go to prison and you don't get out. For robberies, theft, drug crimes.........some sort of treatment/work center. Get treatment for the pushers and users and make the minor criminals fix the roads.

I agree .. the wrong people are getting punished. Why is it OK for a child molester to be released on bond while someone caught carrying a few pills in their purse or a little bit of marijuana gets slapped with outrageous fines and punishment.
Even though I obey the "law" 100% I don't have ANY respect for the legal system at all.

This man should shot. 3 years ago I thought I was moving into a quite mobil home community only to find out that this pedodhile is one of my neighbors. He has not shown his face in this park since his arrest. If he had any brains he would move out.

Hope he rots in jail and gets what this disgusting old man deserves. I hope the court systems agree to this and in prison inmates dont take this well bc alot of inmates have kids of there own
