'Armed Burglary Ring' Busted
Four young men now face charges after authorities say they stole weapons.
Law enforcement officers have arrested four young men who are part of what the New Port Richey Police Chief is calling an “armed burglary ring.”
“The ring is suspected in several residential burglaries during the past several weeks,” Police Chief James Steffens stated in a press release. The ring operated in the area. The last "anticipated" arrest in connection to the ring took place this past weekend.
Suspects in the ring stole 11 firearms from residences: 10 from one residence and one from another, Steffens stated.
Authorities have recovered eight guns of different calibres.
Detectives also recovered jewelry and electronics and are working to return stolen property to owners, Steffens said.
The police department was the arresting agency with all four suspects, although the Pasco Sheriff's Office added charges in the case of one suspect.
Below is a list of the arrested and their charges, according to Steffens:
Anthony Kyle Vaughn, 20, homeless
1 count Armed Burglary

I am curious as to whether or not the "local motel" referenced was located on US 19 somewhere between the bridge and Main Street.

Another reason for strong gun control. THEFT. What a stupid, ridiculous society. Oh by the way, that would be the Triple H highway. Homeless hookers and harmful 19!

It's sad to see all these young people homeless. Imagine being 20, all alone, no home, no money, no job. God knows what these kids were spawned from. I never had much, but it's all relative. I was blessed with two loving parents, a stable home life, an education, etc. Not all children are that lucky. These kids had no chance in life. No chance at all.

It used to be that sometimes judges gave them a sentencing choice. The army, or jail. I guess they don't do that anymore. That could save a lot of young kids. That is if they don't get killed on the other side of the world. They could get killed in prison too, so it would still be a good option. They would have a leg up upon discharge.
