Burglars Target West Pasco Schools
Three break-ins were reported over the weekend.
The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office is investigating three burglaries that occurred over the weekend. In each case, the burglars targeted West Pasco schools.
River Ridge Middle School, for example, had more than 40 classrooms burglarized, according to the sheriff’s office.
Chasco Elementary School portables were also struck. Ridgewood High School’s concession area was hit, as well.
It is unclear if the cases are related at this time.
The only school where an alarm was sounded was River Ridge Middle, said Sheriff Chris Nocco. That alarm went off Saturday night, during a school event.
Deputies are still trying to establish a timeline for the burglaries, Nocco said.
The extent of what was taken from the classrooms is still being investigated. Nocco said computers were among items stolen.
Some schools have been vandalized, Nocco said.
Anyone with tips about the burglaries is asked to contact the sheriff’s office at 727-884-7711. Tips can also be passed along on the sheriff’s office’s website or Facebook page.

It was actually the middle school side at River Ridge. High School side is fine.

Are there any images from the surveillance cameras at the school that they can post for the public to help catch them.

If there are, they haven't been released.
