Firing Sparks Attack With Hammer
William Jordan hit the man who fired him on the head with a hammer, according to Pasco deputies.
A Pasco man has been arrested and accused of hitting someone in the head with a hammer.
A man went to the construction site at 1350 Halapa Lane in Trinity on Dec. 12 to fire William Jordan and another worker, according to an arrest report from the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office.
He told the two they were fired, and they became enraged, according to the report. The situation erupted into a fight.
One of the workers exchanged punches with the man who told him he was fired.
Jordan hit the man who told him he was fired on the left side of the head with a hammer, the report says.
The victim reported his glasses were knocked off and he sustained injuries, the report stated.
Jordan, 27, of 6751 Ravenwood Drive, in Wesley Chapel, was already in the Land O' Lakes Jail when he was arrested Wednesday, Feb. 27, and charged with aggravated battery. He had been booked into jail the day before on a warrant for two charges of driving with a suspended or revoked license and one count of reckless driving.
He remained in the Land O' Lakes jail Thursday, Feb 28.
