A Pasco man is dead after a collision on State Road 54 at Old County Road 54 in the New Port Richey area Saturday night.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Kayla Ashton Ceglenski, 20 of Helena, Montana was traveling eastbound in the left turn lane at about 10:56 p.m.
When she attempted to make a U-turn, she pulled directly in front of a 2005 Suzuki GX driven by Robert Adam Szymanowski III of Land O' Lakes, according to the report.
Szymanowski was unable to avoid the collision and hit the right front side of Ceglenski's 1999 Ford Explorer, coming to a final rest facing east in the center lane of Stat Road 54.
Ceglenski had a passenger in her vehicle, Krystin Lynn Dodson, 21, of Defuniak Springs. The FHP report did not indicate any injuries to Ceglenski or Dodson.
Szymanowski received fatal injuries and passed away at the scene of the accident.
The crash remaines under investigation.
