Man Shot Inside New Port Richey Club
The incident occured at an after-hours BYOB club.
A New Port Richey man shot inside Club Inferno early Friday morning is recovering at an undisclosed hospital, according to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office.
According to sheriff's spokesman Kevin Doll, deputies responded to a 4:15 a.m. shooting at the after-hours club at 4527 U.S. 19 in the New Port Richey area.
No one from the club called 911 about the incident, a sheriff's office media release says.
The 28-year-old was shot once in the stomach and showed up at a local emergency room, Doll said. The man, whose name is not being released at this time, had surgery today and is expected to recover.
The incident appears to have stemmed from some type of altercation inside the club, Doll said.
No arrests have been made at this time, he said.

And yet Pasco County shuts down the Internet Cafes that the old folks enjoy and leave places like this open. And they wonder why decent people don't want to live here.

Nothing like a 'good shooting' to make New Port Richey and Pasco County to be noted as a health care worker I know said, "When you cross the Pinellas line and enter Pasco, you sense the difference in the appearance."
Think it is time to close this place and yank the license off the wall, as Hugh noted.

I have to agree, this place has always been a haven for bad behavior. Why have a place that gives Pasco co. a bad name. close it DOWN!

Come on, Pasco County. How many more people are going to have to die here in these clubs that are open to after regular hours to encourage irresponsible drinking not to say of other irresponsible behaviour. Shut them down, NOW

I am dying to see the follow to this article. Who got shot? Who is the suspect? Why didn't anyone call 911? Has the owner made any comments publicly?
