Man Threw Woman in Lighter Fluid, Threatened to Set Her on Fire

He faces multiple charges.

A man threw a woman into a puddle of lighter fluid and threated to set her on fire in a New Port Richey apartment Thursday.

According to a Pasco County complaint affidavit, Arkeyel Reynolds and a woman were engaged in a verbal argument when Reynolds poured lighter fluid on the kitchen floor, grabbed her and "threw her to the ground in the fluid." Reynolds then held her down, pulled out a lighter and told her he was going to light her on fire, the report stated.

The woman was able to grab her cell phone and dial 911, then flee from Reynolds briefly before he grabbed the phone and removed the battery, the report stated. When she tried to leave the apartment, Reynolds "threw her on the bed not allowing her to leave," according to the report.
