Bubba's Army, motorcyclists and law enforcement band together for a worthy cause.
Motorcyclists in New Port Richey showed support Saturday for the family of fallen Hernando County Sheriff's Deputy as nearly 400 bikers and law enforcement officers rode together.
The ride, organized by the Bubba the Love Sponge Foundation, raised an estimated $20,000 for Mecklenburg's family.
Mecklenburg was pursuing a felon when his cruiser crashed into a tree on U.S. 41 in Pasco County. He died in the hospital after the crash. He was a husband, a father of two and an Army veteran.
