The second Old Time Pottery to land in the Tampa Bay area is celebrating its grand opening in New Port Richey this weekend.

The retail shop that offers home décor and housewares is located at 5217 U.S. 19 in New Port Richey, in the Southgate Shopping Center, and it's celebrating its grand opening at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 1.

Old Time Pottery is a Tennessee-based chain of retail stores with locations in 10 states. The only other Old Time Pottery location in the Tampa Bay area is in the Brandon Crossings Shopping Center in Tampa.  

Much of the merchandise found on the shelves of Old Time comes from manufacturers’ overruns, closeouts, overstocks and discounted styles, according to a press release.

Stock you can find at Old Time Pottery includes baskets, candles and potpourri, candle holders, decorative vases and other decorative art, bakeware and cookware, linens, rugs and more.

The New Port Richey store brings 75 new jobs to the area, according to the release.

The business has already had a "soft opening," but the grand opening is Saturday.
