Patch RV Makes its Stop in Town Tuesday

The giant Patch RV makes its way to New Port Richey to collect donations for the Give-A-Ton food drive.

It’s big, it’s green and it’ll be in town this Tuesday.

The giant Patch RV — 31 feet long and 8 feet wide — has been lumbering its way through the 19 Tampa Bay towns we cover on a mission to gather a ton of food for Feeding America Tampa Bay while raising awareness about Patch.

This Tuesday, Patch staff will stop by downtown New Port Richey for the Patch Give-A-Ton Food Drive. We’re also setting up in Sims Park to introduce new readers to Patch, give out freebies and collect cans of food for the drive.

Stop by Sims Park in downtown New Port Richey between 12 p.m. and 3 p.m., meet an editor and take part in some of our sweet Patch giveaways!

Locals can learn how to get their voices onnthes site. Business owners can also learn how to claim their listings and gain insights on how to enhance their online presence on and off Patch.

Together we hope to raise one TON of food, so we need your help. And we're looking forward to meeting you!

While the Patch RV is only in town for a day, you can take part in the Give-A-Ton Food Drive through May 31 by dropping off nonperishable food donations at these participating businesses:

If you want to find out where the Patch RV will be next, be sure to become a fan of the food drive on Facebook!
