A 28-year-old Port Richey woman remains in critical condition following an accident last night on Moog Road at Monticello Street in Holiday.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Virginia Schneider, 29, of New Port Richey, was driving westbound on Moog Road around 11:22 p.m. Dec. 19 as Sara Fowler was walking in the southbound lane of Monticello. Schneider attempted to make a left turn onto Monticello, didn’t see Fowler and struck her, a report said.
Fowler was taken to Bayonet Point Hospital where she remains in critical condition.

The accident remains under investigation and charges are pending, highway patrol officials said. Alcohol did not play a factor in the crash, according to the FHP report.
