10/27/11 Nathan Chad Sartin, 27, of 6514 Celeste Lane New Port Richey 34653 was arrested Thursday night on charges of disorderly intoxication and aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer.

While a New Port Richey Police officer was on patrol in his neighborhood, Sartin ran up to his marked patrol car and began punching his window, “screaming for me to get off his street, it was Marshall Law and he was in charge of the street,” according to the arrest report.

The officer told Sartin to back up but Sartin began headbutting and licking the window. The officer could smell alcohol on him, according to the report, so he called for backup units as he exited the vehicle.

Sartin ran towards the front door of his trailer, and the officer ordered him to stop, that he was under arrest for disorderly intoxication, according to the report. Sartin’s father stepped outside to yell at his son and tell the officer he was drunk.

Sartin opened his front door and began clapping his hands, ordering his dogs to attack the officer, according to the report. The officer drew his weapon and ordered Sartin to stop calling his dogs to attack him. The officer kicked a dog in the face that ran towards him.

Sartin was arrested when backup units arrived. He was arrested previously in 2010 for forging checks and earlier this year for possession and sale of a controlled substance.

He was taken to Land O’ Lakes jail on a $10,100 bond charge for both charges.
