The New Port Richey Cultural Affairs Committee’s free movie event in downtown New Port Richey is featuring family friendly film Chicken Run on Friday.
The movie is part of the committee's Spring/Fall Free For All movie series. The series features movie showings at the band shell in Sims Park in New Port Richey. The series features family friendly movies and other amusements for the kids.
Chicken Run is an award-winning stop motion film. Mel Gibson voices the main character.
The 2000 movie tells the tale of a band of chickens and its efforts to escape a chicken farm.
The movie starts at sundown on Friday at Sims Park, off Bank Street. The event is free to attend.
Snacks and refreshments will be available for purchase.
This showing is sponsored by the Leaning Tower of Pizza and Encore Music.

Thanks for the article Alex, I just wanted to make a note for your readers though that Wilbur's Fun Zone won't be able to join us this weekend, we had a scheduling conflict. They'll be back with us again in February though! So bring a bag of leftover Halloween candy and whatever snacks you'll want. Leaning Tower will deliver to the park too, they drop off at the Cultural Affairs Tent. How cool is that!? See you all on Friday!
