Sheriff’s New Logo: What Do You Think?
The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office has rolled out a new logo meant to reflect the agency’s values and mission.
The Pasco Sheriff’s Office is sporting a new look it says reflects the agency’s drive to protect and serve while working with the community to keep the county safe.
The new logo, unveiled in a media release yesterday, Feb. 27, incorporates the traditional five-star badge design inside a spear point. It even has a new motto: We Fight As One.
What’s the reason for the change?
"As the Pasco Sheriff’s Office continues to move forward, we need a symbol that represents our commitment to continuous improvement and fearlessness to be a leader in our profession,” said Sheriff Chris Nocco.
The tip of the spear, he said is meant to characterize “our mission to be in the forefront to protect our citizens.”
The motto “embodies our belief that every member is united in making our agency great and with our citizens we are going to ensure that Pasco is a safe county for all to enjoy."
The new logo was designed in-house by sheriff’s office employee Anne Hardin, said agency spokeswoman Melanie Snow.
So what do you think of the new logo, West Pasco? Let us know by taking the poll or commenting below!

Why does are Sheriff's dept. assume a para-military look? The department already has military-type fatigues- and that spear is military all the way. I am not conspiracy type of guy- but local law enforcement is sure looking a lot like a military wing. I am more comfortable with a civilian type dress code- thank you.

Fight as one??? Who are you fighting Nocco? You certainly aren't making it safer for us, home invasions up, violent crimes up, Im glad you are focused on changing your emblem and those reckless, crazed teachers driving golf carts! Great bust!! Maybe this militaristic emblem will make us all safer now!
