State Senator Opens Office in Pasco
Republican John Legg serves District 17, which encompasses Pasco and northwest Hillsborough counties.
West Pasco residents with questions or concerns about state government have a new place to turn for help.
Florida State Sen. John Legg opened the doors on his new district office recently.
Legg, a Republican, won a three-way primary race for the District 17 Florida Senate seat previously held by Jim Norman in August. The former state representative now serves people in communities as widespread as New Port Richey, Westchase, Lutz, Carrollwood, Trinity and Land O’ Lakes.
The new district office is located at 262 Crystal Grove Blvd. in Lutz. It’s open weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Staff members are available to help residents with their concerns or questions in person, by phone at 813-909-9919 and via email at Legg.John.Web@flsenate.gov.
“We are excited to have our office open and are ready to serve and assist the citizens of Pasco and Hillsborough counties,” Legg said in a media release. “Providing quality, prompt and excellent constituent service will and will always be one of our highest priorities.”
Staffers Becky Zizzo and Tim Couet will man the office. Zizzo has eight years of experience working as a district executive secretary in the Florida House of Representatives. Couet joined Legg’s staff from the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office, where he served as the community outreach manager and executive director of the Pasco Police Athletic League.
So what kinds of issues can the office help with?
“Any issues statewide we are happy to help with,” Couet said.
