Are you interested in environmentally friendly gardening and composting?

The Pasco County Cooperative Extension Service, a partnership between the Pasco County Commission and the University of Florida’s Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences, is offering a lecture on worm composting this evening in Hudson. In the worm composting process, worms eat and digest waste and excrete nutrient-rich droppings. These droppings can be used to cultivate plants, flowers, fruit trees and garden vegetables.

Let an experienced gardener give you tips on how to turn garbage into gold tonight. And read Green Living columnist Jamie McWade's suggestions for composting .
