Longtime Patch reader Patricia Toth wanted to let folksknow about the most recent accomplisment made by her son Steve, who had already racked up some otable accomplishments.
Here's what Patricia had to say:
Steve Toth, a University of South Florida engineering student, from New Port Richey, finished in the top 4 of over 100 videos in the Pierce the Veil, King for a Day, Cover Contest competition on TopBlip.Com that bills itself as “The Worlds’ Entertainment Radar”.
In a statement from Steve posted on Facebook, he says, “So we didn’t end up winning that contest, but we got a ton of promotion off the whole thing. Over 20,000 of you watched that video, a few thousand people voted, and right now we’re featured on the front page of their website because we’re trending. That’s a big deal! Thanks everyone who voted and supported through the past weeks; and I’m sure this won’t be the last you hear about that video!”
While most contestants sang karaoke style to the original song or played an instrument too, Steve’s full band cover features him as he plays 4 instrumental and sings 2 vocal parts. His video is in 6 views as if 6 separate people are playing in a band.
