Visions for Vacancies: What Could Catch On at Waterfront Property?
What would you like to see here?
Vacant buildings are a problem for a community. Patch wants to know what you think the solution can be.
In our occasional series Visions for Vacancies we’ll look at vacant businesses and buildings in New Port Richey and other areas of West Pasco to see what our readers want to see move into their community.
Today, we’re looking at the former home of Johnny Leverock's Seafood House right on the water at 4927 U.S. 19 near Gulf Harbors. The deed for the building is held by Port Hudson Marina of Tarpon Springs.
The just value of the property is $965,377, according to Pasco County Property records. The parcel has a classification that includes bars and restaurants.

Would like to see an upscale Mediterranean & Seafood restaurant upstairs. Downstairs, would be a more quiet, laid back atmosphere with a wide variety of cocktails and entertainment that is subdued so conversation would be enjoyable. Prices reasonable, like Leverock's.

I would like to see me there, at happy hour, enjoying the good companionship of not only friends, but the bartender..

West Pasco could certainly us a quality "special occasion" restaurant.

I have been praying for something to move in at this location since I moved to Gulf Harbors in 2004. If I was going to look around the Tampa area for ideas I would say Green Iguana or the Rumba Island Bar and Grill would be a good fit. If I was going to look at the outside world for inspiration, there is a place in Austin,TX called The Hula Hut (hulahut.com). Something similar to this would be ideal.
