Zombiefest Shambles into West Pasco
The zombie party is hoped to create quite a scare in Port Richey.
The living dead shall rise on Saturday, April 28.
Or, at least, the living posing as the undead.
Zombiefest, the brain-eating child of West Pasco resident Chris Coffey and his friends, is starting at 2 p.m. at the Oasis Coffee Spot at 721 Little Road in the Port Richey area. There will be experts eager to “zombify” guests to make them look like the undead, a concert and local vendors.
From there, the summoned undead walkers will make Port Richey a little scarier as they shamble off around 4:30 p.m. along Embassy Boulevard toward the Cinema 6 movie theater, at 9510 U.S. 19 in Port Richey.
There, they’ll be able to partake in the past-times that all the col corpes like, such as zombie tag, a Michael Jackson-style "Thriller" dance and a brain-eating contest.
Then at 7 p.m., the theater will screen three as yet undisclosed zombie flicks. The festivities go until 10:30 p.m., and then it’s time to return to the grave bed.
Tickets cost $10 online and will also be on sale at Oasis Coffee Spot for $15 at the door. VIP tickets, which include a pre-party on Friday, cost $35. Check out the offiicial Zombiefest website for more pricing information.

Update: According to the Zombiefest Facebook page: the Zombiewalk portion of this has been cancelled due to permitting issues, but the rest of it is on.

With some of the characters running around NPR, looks like a zombiefest every day! :-) If I were younger I might go to this one though, it does sound fun.
