It's time to bring back the monthly Band Spotlight, but this month--at the suggestion of Jim Gravely from Floydsum--I decided to do something a little different.

This time around, I'm spotlighting a group that call themselves the Party Train. They're a constantly expanding group of people that are arguably some of the biggest supporters of live local music in the entire Tampa Bay area (not just West Pasco).

Now, truth be told, someone has actually beat me to the punch on spotlighting them with a very in-depth article available here. It's a very good read, and I suggest you follow the link and take a look. Be that as it may, I still feel they deserve a spotlight on my blog because of their latest efforts to spread the word about local music online.

According to founder Monica Rocheford, "we have recently connected with WhereWillWeGoTonight.com," and they've been using that site in conjunction with their own efforts to see as much live local music as their schedule allows. In addition, they keep a month-by-month schedule of who they're going out to see on their Facebook page.

Once you actually start following them, you realize the depth and sincerity in all their efforts to keep their favorite bands rocking, and speaking for many musicians in the area, we greatly appreciate all they've done in the few short years they've been doing this. Do yourself a favor and check them out on their Facebook page. You may find you've been missing out on a lot of fun!
