There are two very special concerts happening this weekend that will benefit two very noble causes.

The first one is a benefit for a fallen Port Richey police officer named Kristina Anne Coolidge. Here is the official writeup from the Port Richey Police Department about it:

Our friend & co-worker Kristina passed away unexpectedly on Nov 23rd, 2012, leaving her Husband Jim & Daughter Hailey.

Kristina's career in our Police Dept. began in April 2004 as a Communications Officer, keeping a watchful eye over her officers and friends. Her dedication to law enforcement led her to become a Record Clerk and most recently working toward becoming a Crime Analyst.

As we grieve the loss of our friend in the coming weeks, months, and years, we will reflect on the fun times we all had with her and remember her upbeat personality. Kristina was never at a loss for words; she could always liven up a conversation with colorful adjectives.

To help out Coolidge's family, the Seaside Inn will be hosting a very large benefit concert with live music on both their main inside stage and an outside stage. It's on Saturday, January 26th, starts at noon, and goes all day. Proceeds go directly to the Coolidge family. Also on Saturday the 26th, The Pasco World AIDS Day Committee and Insomniacs Bar & Lounge are hosting the "Rocking for a Cause" benefit concert. Pasco World AIDS Day Committee, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides assistance to local people living with HIV/AIDS, and this concert's proceeds go directly to their organization to help them continue to provide this very valuable service. This concert starts at 8pm, and once again, band lineup details can be found in the live music list here in this blog post.

Please, go out this Saturday and support one (or both) of these very important causes!
