This Sunday, you'll get a chance to help victims of Hurricane Sandy.

Sunday, December 2nd, Bourbon Street of New Port Richey will be playing host to a benefit concert called "Gimme Shelter: Hope for New York/New Jersey." There's no cover charge, but they do ask that you make any donation you can afford. In addition, they will have a drink special on a specific drink where the bar will donate $1 for every one of them sold. And, as is customary for events such as these, there will also be a 50/50 raffle.

There will be a lot of local talent playing at this benefit, including my former band Circle Sky, whose bandleader (Mark Alan) helped to spearhead this benefit. For more information on the benefit itself, visit their Facebook event page. Whatever you do, please try to make it out to this. The storm-ridden area may be out of the headlines, but there are still lots of people up there who need some help picking up the pieces.
