Occupy New Port Richey Pot-luck and discussion
In solidarity with Occupy Wall Street, Occupy New Port Richey will be holding a pot-luck round table discussion every Sunday at Sims Park at 3pm. We invite everyone in the North Pinellas, West Pasco and Hernando areas to join us to discuss the issues surrounding the Wall Street protests and how they relate to problems within our own communities. Planned discussions include Glass-Stegal act, Citizens United: the 2010 Supreme Court decision regarding corporate campaign contributions, pill mills and the local home foreclosure crisis.
Occupy New Port Richey is not affiliated with any political party, political candidate or political organization.
This is a family friendly event. All non-violent and respectful voices are welcome to join and be a part of the discussion.
