Atkinson Twins Take Charge At EcoFest

Follow the link for more on the active New Port Richey residents charged with making this year's event a success.

Pasco EcoFest is being steered this year by Kira and Kacey Atkinson, two longtime residents of New Port Richey.

The twin sisters, who turned 28 in October, are event managers for the three-day festival that puts a spotlight on West Pasco parks and the surrounding community. The two are both passionate supporters of the environmental sustainability movement and are active in a couple of New Port Richey resident advisory committees,

This is the biggest event they’ve yet helmeded. They are responsible for making sure the festival goes smoothly. They coordinate with volunteers leading the individual activities, make contacts with businesses that want to be involved, check on city and county government requirements and map out what activities they wanted the festival to offer this year.
