“We’re looking for a good weekend,” said meteorologist Rodney Wynn. “(It should be) a lot drier throughout Florida.”

Wynn said rain chances are still present, of course, but they’ve diminished quite a bit. The strongest chance for storms arrives on Sunday, Sept. 22, and carries forward into the start of the workweek.

There’s also some good news in regard to the heat.

“Temperatures are going to be a little bit cooler mid to upper 80s and the low 70s for the night time,” Wynn said.
