Cinco De Mayo is Sunday, May 5. The holiday recognizes the Battle of Puebla in 1862. It was originally a time for Mexican Americans living in the West to celebrate their freedom during the Civil War.
The day has since turned into a time to honor Mexican culture, including the refreshing beverage that is the Margarita.
All around, Cinco De Mayo gives people a reason to get out and celebrate life with friends. We've rounded up a few Cinco De Mayo celebrations happening right in your town.
