County Makes Sandbags Available as Ominous Skies Appear

With rain changes high, local government authorities aren't taking chances.

With a flood watch up for the Tampa Bay area through Thursday, June 6,  Pasco County and the city of New Port Richey are making sure residents in low-lying areas have the tools they need to prepare.

Residents are entitled to 25 free sandbags per household, said Diane Laurine of the county’s public works department.

Sandbags are available at the back of the West Pasco Government Center near the gas pump area, she said. The address there is 7530 Little Road.
