Cold Front Brings Nice Weekend Weather

Clear skies and cool temperatures are on tap throughout the weekend.

Get ready for another great weekend in weather.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service’s Ruskin office say Land O' Lakes residents can expect sunny skies and cool temperatures throughout the weekend before things start to warm up again Monday.

According to meteorologist Tom Dougherty, Thursday’s cold front gets the credit for the comfortable highs and chilly lows we’re likely to see over the next few days. Just as a bonus to that, Dougherty said there’s “not much of a chance for rain.”

Friday’s forecast calls for a high around 66 with sunny skies. The lows could dip into the high 30s, according to the weather service’s website. Dougherty said it’s probably a safer bet to expect lows in the 50s along the coast and the 40s inland.

Things warm up a bit on Saturday when highs are expected to climb to about the mid to upper 70s. Lows should be in the 50s with a mostly clear night anticipated.
