Elder Advocate Volunteers Needed

The Florida Long-Term Care Program will hold a meeting for interested volunteers.

The elderly are some of society's most vulnerable especially when it comes to their long term care.  Florida's Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program matches volunteers with elderly to help them navigate the system of nursing homes, assisted living facilities and adult family care homes.

The program is looking for more volunteers to join its forces.

On Thursday, May 16 the group will hold a meeting at Saint Anne Byzantine Catholic Church, 7120 Massachusetts Ave. in New Port Richey. The meeting will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
