Five Things You Should Know Today, June 14

Avoid a terrible Tuesday with our list of things to know.

1.     It will be mostly sunny with temperatures a high near 89, but it could feel as hot as 97.

2.     The New Port Richey Community Redevelopment Agency is meeting tomorrow to discuss what to do with two city-owned properties: Gateway Community Church and the First Baptist Church site. It will also decide if John Schneiger should be made executive director of the Community Redevelopment Agency. The meeting begins at 6 p.m. today at City Hall.

3.     You feeling patriotic? Best be. The Continental Congress declared 234 years ago today that the U.S. flag should bear 13 stripes and 13 stars.
