Six teenagers from Harbinger House, a temporary shelter for abused, neglected or abandoned boys, have been arrested and accused of theft or criminal trespass.
A 16-year-old boy found with a stolen Ford F-150 at a traffic stop at Indiana Avenue and Harrison Street was arrested May 22 and charged with grand theft auto. A 15-year-old boy and a 17-year-old boy with him were charged with a count of criminal trespass each.
Two 16-year-olds and a 17-year-old were arrested on May 23 and accused of at least four vehicle burglaries along the 5000 block of River Road and the 5000 block of Charles Street. They each face one count of grand theft and four counts of auto burglary. They were found on stolen bicycles from that block in the area of Green Key Road and River Road.
The stolen items were returned to their owners.
Patch is withholding the names of the youths because of their ages.
