Warm Weather Precedes Santa

You know. Like reindeer.

Put away those sweaters and pull out your shorts! During this workweek before Christmas, forecasters at the National Weather Service in Ruskin are calling for warm days and a very low chance of rain.

According to meteorologist Tyler Fleming, the week should shape up to be a pretty decent one on the weather front.

“(We’ll see) a general warming tend the next few days with high temperatures around 80,” Fleming said.

A high pressure system over our area will also keep rain chances almost nonexistent until about Wednesday when they creep up into the 10 percent range, he added.

Fleming said West Pasco residents can anticipate daytime highs around 80 throughout the week and even into Christmas weekend. The lows will hover between the low 50s tonight, Dec. 19, and the low 60s later in the week.

Rain chances in the latter part of the week will climb to about 10 percent and increase over Christmas weekend to about 20 percent, Fleming said. Still, the temperatures should remain around 80.
