'Weed Dating' Puts a New Spin on Hooking Up

New Port Richey is playing host to an event that features this twist on speed dating.

According to a recent article in Dame Magazine, singles across the country are ditching the over-done bar scene when it comes to looking for love and heading to their nearest community garden.

Coined "Weed Dating," singles connect in a speed-dating style over gardening.

The trend is coming to New Port Richey. From 9:30 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 27 singles are invited to come out to the Habitat for Humanity Kinship garden for a Weed Dating event.
