Creative KidZone Art Classes every Thursday (Ages 7 -14yrs.) The Progress Energy Art Gallery is pleased to offer Creative KidZone Art Classes where students have the opportunity to explore the visual arts. We will discover the magical world of drawing, painting, clay hand-building, fused glass, Up-cycled Art and much more. Students will expand their visual arts vocabulary, studying artists and their famous works of art as an inspiration and starting point for their own art while making new friends and learning new, fun, creative techniques. Instructor: Patty Reeves


Patty has a lot of creative ideas to share with students! Over the next few weeks, Patty will be helping the students to create gift ideas for the upcoming holidays. Each class the student will create and take a completed project!


 


November 29th


Terra Cotta Clay with Patty Reeves, as well as a fun lesson on art!

Clay Hand-Building with Patty Reeves, as well as a fun lesson on art!


Students will learn about Low-Fire Clay w/ glazing to create:

Pop Art with Patty Reeves, as well as a fun lesson on art!


Students will work with photography and watercolor to create a self portrait -Andy Warhol Style!

About the Art Instructor:


Patty was born in Detroit, Michigan and credits two wonderful art teachers in middle and high school for nurturingthe art within.


She is a self taught artist.


Patty works in mediums that suit her mood (smiling), photography, mixed media, clay, paint, and at the moment, glass.


She is a member of The Altered Minds Art Group, West Pasco Art Guild the Progress Energy Art Gallery. She has also retired from Pasco and Hernando County public schools as a Sign Language Interpreter for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.


Patty has lived in Pasco county over 30 years.
