Melanoma Monday at CARES Senior Health Clinic

Get A Free Cancer

Screening!

Visit CARES Senior Health Clinic located at the CARES Claude Pepper Senior Center, 6640 Van Buren St. in New Port Richey on "Melanoma Monday” May 5, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Medical professionals from New Image Dermatology, Gulfcoast Dermatology, Dr. Brian Johnson and Dr. Hsuan Shu Lai will provide screenings on a first come first serve basis.

Melanoma Monday is the first Monday in May which is Skin Cancer Awareness Month. Each year, skin cancer will affect 1 in 5 Americans, and more than 3.5 million new cases in 2 million people are diagnosed. Fortunately, many forms of skin cancer are highly treatable – the key is catching them early. Melanoma Monday serves as a reminder to take care of your skin and get a visual inspection (screening) of moles, freckles and other marks by a medical professional. A screening does not take much time and no blood work is conducted.
