Pasco EcoFest 2013

Pasco EcoFest is a three-day event that takes place in the western
part of the county known as the “Suncoast”, this year it will happen
November 8-10. This event features Pasco County’s JB Starkey Wilderness
Park and Sims Park in downtown New Port Richey. It highlights the local
community while providing an assortment of cultural entertainment,
sporting and educational opportunities for all ages.

The weekend will be packed with outdoor activities like kayaking,
bird watching, native plant walks, hiking, educational talks and
workshops, camping, hoop and belly dancing, stargazing, and a
geo-caching challenge.

The weekend will also be filled with kids arts & games,
educational workshops, live music, kayak paddles and river clean up, food
truck rally and Big Storm Brewing Co. beer tent, free Yoga, Crystal Bowls, Tai Chi, Qi Gong, EcoMarket, Belly and Hoop dancing workshops and performances, vintage air-cooled VW show and swap meet, and
many more activities.

The event also incorporates the Pasco GeoFest at Starkey Park for all the Geocachers and nature adventurers out there.


The goal of Pasco EcoFest is to acquaint visitors with all that West
Pasco has to offer, introduce practical ways to build sustainable
communities, enhance the local economy and showcase the vast natural
beauty of West Central Florida’s unique ecosystem.

Pasco EcoFest consists of two main locations: Sims Park in downtown
New Port Richey and JB Starkey Wilderness Park. Kayaking paddles will
launch from Sims Park, Frances Avenue Park, and james E. Grey Preserve.
