Pasco EcoFest is the premier ecotourism event with a focus on growing the local economy and culture in West Central Florida. Through hands-on education and experiences, Pasco EcoFest planners strive to encourage a holistic and ecological awareness that encompasses the cultural, natural and economic systems of our local region.

Pasco EcoFest spans two days in New Port Richey, Florida, located in Pasco County, in two different locations. Guests will have the opportunity to explore beautiful West Pasco by kayaking, wading through swamps, and learning about native plants and medicinal herbs on nature walks through Starkey Park. They will also learn about our native wildlife through interactive exhibits and talks.

With our focus on sustainable living education, PEF will also be offering a wide variety of free workshops geared toward skills guests can easily incorporate into their daily lives.

This event will also incorporate a fine art show, kayaking, geo-caching, live music and entertainment, a drum circle, an Eco Market, free yoga, belly dancing and hoop dancing workshops, kid’s art and public art projects, stargazing, vintage Volkswagen showcase and parts swap, and food trucks.

Pasco EcoFest Goals:

o    reduce PEF’s environmental impact:

o   shuttle service between two event sites

o   encourage carpooling and use of public transportation

o   provide recycling and waste management at event sites

o   majority of marketing done digitally via e-mail and on the web

o   large portion of onsite signage and awards created from repurposed and upcycled materials

o    provide access to information and education designed to enrich the lives of Pasco and neighboring communities’ residents

o    hands-on workshops for urban agriculture, homesteading, and native plants

o   walks and experiences featuring native ecology

o    recycled/community art project

o    informational vendors
