If you were in the flood zones from Debby and experienced the loss of home or personal property, you should be paying it forward for the storm season.
West Pasco Recovers is helping those that help themselves or others. They stand ready to help you with sand bagging or other storm/rain related problems.
I helped clear out two homes that Debby had destroyed. I mentioned concern over my own property and the erosion problem caused by Debby. Yesterday, they brought me 25 sand bags to help prevent continued erosion.
Had I not volunteered to assist others, I might never have gotten the help that I needed. I didn't know it when I signed up to help others, but I too was paying it forward. Call them and ask for Sherry, a good woman with a big heart! go to https://westpasco.recovers.org/ and become part of a community team giving and getting a helping hand when needed, before it's needed.

Thank you for your kind words. Yes, Recovers is a long-term project with a focus on databasing the community's skills, logging the available tools/services and matching the needs of neighbors as they requested. The bigger the database, the greater ability we have to help. Thank you Kyrja, your support is valued. Thank you Diane and Bill; I will be in touch. West Pasco readers, have YOU signed up for Recovers yet? It's easy! Click on https://Recovers.org then click on See Communities we help, then West Pasco. Finally, click on I Want To Volunteer and then Sign Up. It only take a few moments to be a great service to our community and while the other outreach organizations have moved on, Recovers is a locally tended, locally focused effort. Again, we are here, long-term, to contribute to the community, long-term, building friendships, weaving neighborhoods with kindness.
Literally 5 minutes of your time to sign up can mean the world to someone else ;) Thank you Sherry for another great opportunutiy for our community to help each other! Diane & Bill
