Longtime New Port Richey Educator Gail Crowder Passes Away

Crowder taught at Gulf High and Ridgewood High schools.

Beverly "Gail" Crowder, a longtime educator in West Pasco, died Thursday morning at the age of 71.

Jim West president of LegacyTv, in Odessa, told us:

West Pasco educator passed away this morning at Regional Medical Center in Tallahassee,. “She was a longtime teacher and assistant principal serving at Gul High and Ridgewood High Schools. Her health had been declining for several years following heart surgery.

She is survived by her husband, Dan, son: Bruce, daughter Kelly Seay and five grandchildren.

According to the Gulf High website, Crowder was an assistant principal at Gulf in the 1980s and early 90s.

An obituary in the Tallahassee Democrat says she graduated from Western Kentucky University with a degree in education and spent 23 years in the education industry.  She was  born in Bremen and graduated from Western Kentucky University with a degree in education, according to the obituary.Eventually, she earned a master's in education from the University of South Florida.

Crowder is survived by her husban Dan Crowder; two children Bruce Crowder and his wife Melanie  and Kelly Seay and her husband Glen and five grandchildren; Luke Seay, Joshua Crowder, Lawson Seay, Annika Crowder, and Lilly Kate Seay.

Services will be held Saturday at Parkview Baptist Church in Lake City, Florida at 11 a.m.
