There's no excuse for being a homebody around dinnertime if you live in New Port Richey or West Pasco. It helps to get out and enjoy what the local community has to offer, and some local businesses encourage family outings for dinner at their establishments.

So plan ahead and enjoy family life with dinner out at a restaurant. Here are some ways to do that in and around New Port Richey.

1.  Scotty’s Pizzeria (10614 Devco Drive, Port Richey) has a $19.99 meal deal, which includes one 14” one-topping pizzas, a 2-liter bottle of Coca-Cola. This deal is good through April 17.

2. (8717-6 Little Road, New Port Richey) Purchase an adult entree on Tuesday nights from 4 -8 p.m,  and your kids can get a free meal.  There is a kids menu available.  Call  (727) 842-4757 for more information.

3.  Perkins Family Restaurant and Bakery (11929 US 19, Port Richey) Children eat free with one adult entrée purchase every day after 3 pm.  Call (727) 862-3581 for more information.

4.  I have found that restaurants owned by local business owners will sometimes work with you on arranging child-sized portions if they do not normally offer a childrens' menu. Or they may agree to split appetizers or an entrée that is easily shared. Call a favorite restaurant that you have not been to in a while and ask.
