What wonderful times lie ahead for children over the summer break and for parents planning summer vacations for the whole family! Which summer camp is the right choice for you?  To keep it simple, I looked for options with the cheapest prices and most convenient scheduling

1. Summer Day Camp (6630 Van Buren Street, New Port Richey, 727-841-4560) This city-run day camp lasts for eight weeks.  New Port Richey residents pay $320 for the full program.  Non-residents pay $400 for the full 8 weeks. Ages 6-12 are welcome. The camp offers swimming, arts and crafts, and field trips around New Port Richey. Registration for city residents started Monday, March 21, and registration for non-residents starts March 28.    You can also register for partial camp.

3. Starkey Wilderness Nature Camp (727-834-3247.) This day camp costs $55 a week for children ages 5-13, but they must have completed kindergarten first.
