Save Our Sandbar

As most of you know the Florida State Park Service has been working on the new Unit Management Plan for the Anclote Key Preserve which will be in effect for the next 10 years.
SaveOurSandbar worked diligently to protect the boating public's best interests in the process of drafting the new plan.
I am pleased to report that the Management Plan has been approved with ALL of our changes and recommendations included. This is a tremendous victory for the recreational users!
With that said... The only complaints heard at the meetings in Tallahassee were about the dogs.
I am going to say this one more time, Dogs are not allowed on Three Rooker period. If you bring a dog there you will be fined!
Dogs are allowed on the North Anclote Sandbar. They MUST be on a leash and you MUST clean up after them or you will be fined!
Now I'm done being nice, if I see your dog crap on the beach and you don't clean it up I will throw it in your boat....ARE WE CLEAR???
We do not want to loose the ability to take our dogs to the Sandbar because of a few irresponsible pet owners. If you have a problem with this you may contact myself or the Park Service...
Thank you for your support,
