60-Year-Old From ALF Found

A 60-year-old schizophrenic man who went missing from the Hillandale assisted living facility has been found, the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office announced Thursday morning.

John Erwin Schwerer, who also suffers from seizures, had walked out of Hillandale at 6333 Langston Avenue, New Port Richey, on Wednesday.

He was later seen at the Race Trac at 6830 Ridge Road, Port Richey, at about 2 p.m. Wednesday, according to a media release.

Schwerer was found by the Pasco County Sheriff's Office, according to a media release sent out after 1 a.m. Thursday.

He was wearing a dark blazer, a white button-up shirt, a tie and black slacks.

Schwerer takes medication for his conditions. He went missing before his evening medication was administered.
