Deputies: Teen Stole Golf Cart from School, Sold it for $50

The 15-year-old is charged with grand theft and dealing in stolen property.

A New Port Richey teen faces multiple charges after deputies say he stole a golf cart from Mitchell High School.

Then sold it for $50.

According to a Pasco County complaint affidavit, the 15-year-old removed the golf cart from the school's campus without permission, then sold it to a third party for $50. His actions were witnessed by three people, the report stated.

The golf cart was valued at $1,000, according to the report.

The teen, whose name is being withheld by Patch because of his age, "refused any comments."

He was arrested and transported to the Pasco County Juvenile Assessment Center.

The teen is charged with grand theft and dealing in stolen property.
