Steven Ramoni was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

A New Port Richey resident stands accused of attacking a man with a screwdriver.

Steven Ramoni, 58, swung the screwdriver at the man several times Saturday, according to an arrest report from the New Port Richey Police Department.

Prior to “attempting to stab the victim with the screwdriver,” Ramoni told someone he was going to kill the man, according to the report.

Ramoni, of 5807 Pine St., was arrested June 15 and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He remained in the Land O’ Lakes jail Monday in lieu of $5,000 bond.
