A Tarpon Springs man is accused of breaking into a New Port Richey home, holding the occupants at gunpoint and raping a woman, the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Mark Anthony Summers, 18, and another man still at large forced their way into the home around 9:30 p.m. Aug. 24, the newspaper reports, citing the Pasco County Sheriff's Office. At least two women and two children were inside.
Summers, of 612 North Ave. in Tarpon Springs, reportedly raped one of the women twice.
He was arrested Sept. 1 in Pinellas County on a warrant for unrelated charges, according to the Times, and remained in Pinellas County Jail as the New Port Richey case was investigated. DNA samples tied Summers to the alleged rape victim.
Summers is charged with two counts of felony sexual battery, three counts of false imprisonment and one count of home invasion robbery. He remains in jail on $450,000 bond.
