Moon Lake Attack Suspect May Have Changed Appearance

Vanessa Musson may have dyed or cut her hair, deputies say.

Pasco Sheriff’s deputies are still looking for one of the three people suspected in connection to the beating and robbery of a man in Moon Lake, and they’re warning people she may have changed her appearance.

In a booking photo from a past arrest, Vanessa Musson appears to have light brown hair. Deputies say she may have died her hair blond or cut it to change her appearance.

Musson is one of three suspects in the case of the 44-year-old man who was tied up, beaten and robbed.

The other two suspects in the case are Bobbie Jo Curtis and her son Bryan Curtis.

The Curtises were arrested Saturday, but Musson (pronounced muss-in) is still at large. Authorities are seeking to charge her with attempted murder, aggravated battery, grand theft auto and grand theft firearm, according to a media release.

Musson stole several firearms during the attack and is believed to be “armed and dangerous,” according to the media release.

One of the things that was stolen from the 44-year-old, who has been identified as Joseph Bruno, was a 2000 white Econoline van that has a roof/ladder rack and tag 366TQH. Musson might be in possession of it, according to the release.

Musson has tattoos on her back, ankles and chest, including one saying "Nessa" on her arm.

The sheriff’s office is warning people not to approach Musson but to instead call them at 727-844-7711 if they have tips about her whereabouts.
