Moon Man Charged with Making Terroristic Threats

Police say the man used a gun to threaten residents of the Fox Hollow apartment complex.

A Moon man threatened to kill a group of women who live in a township apartment complex, according to police.

Johnathan Michael Jaquay, 19, is charged with threatening three women who live at the Fox Hollow apartment complex, telling them "I'll be back for you," after showing them the semi-automatic handgun he was carrying, according to a Moon Police report.

Police said Jaquay was involved in an argument with a group of women who live at the College Park Drive complex.

On Sept. 23, he approached one of them in the complex's parking lot and demanded an apology.

When the woman refused to apologize, Jaquay threatened to kill her and her friends, police said.

He showed the women the silver, semi-automatic handgun he was carrying, pulling back the gun's slide as if to chamber a round, police said.

Jaquay was arrested later that day at the neighboring Colony West Apartment complex, where he resides.

The man denied threatening the women, but told police he was involved in a dispute with one of their boyfriends over a botched marijuana sale, telling police he was "just looking for the drug dealer to apologize for ripping him off," police said.

He is charged with three count each of simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and making terroristic threats. He is scheduled to appear Oct. 2 in Coraopolis District Court for a preliminary hearing.

Jaquay was arrested earlier this year for breaking into Kmart on Beaver Grade Road and days later stealing a Mercedes Benz from Hookstown Grade Road.

He pleaded guilty in June to charges of burglary, receiving stolen property, and criminal trespass stemming from that incident. He was sentenced to two years probation, according to court records.
