Police Seek Bank Robbery Suspect

A man slipped a teller a note demanding money and then fled the scene with cash, police say.

New Port Richey police detectives are seeking to discover the identity and location of a suspect accused of robbing a bank on U.S. 19 Wednesday morning.

A man entered the Wells Fargo Bank at 5211 U.S. 19 shortly after 9 a.m and gave a teller a written demand for money, according to a media release from the police. The teller gave the man cash, and the man fled the scene southwest throught the parking lot.

The identity of the man is unknown by the police, and detectives have not disclosed the amount stolen.

that is unfortinate the bank was robed,what are they doing about all the stolen item's from homes in the down town area? the peaple that are barley making it.

They dont care about the citizens in this county only business and no one is hiring and the problem is only going to get worse with noone having jobs to pay their bills and now they dont want the poor to hold signs saying they are hungry or needing money do you know how embarassing this is for these people to be out in the streets begging? Port Richey really needs some new elected officials in this area who will do something for theh people and the economy to stop all this nonsense
