Police Seek Bank Robbery Suspect

A man slipped a teller a note demanding money and then fled the scene with cash, police say.

New Port Richey police detectives are seeking to discover the identity and location of a suspect accused of robbing a bank on U.S. 19 Wednesday morning.

A man entered the Wells Fargo Bank at 5211 U.S. 19 shortly after 9 a.m and gave a teller a written demand for money, according to a media release from the police. The teller gave the man cash, and the man fled the scene southwest throught the parking lot.

The identity of the man is unknown by the police, and detectives have not disclosed the amount stolen.
